Lorraine Salgado-Jones

I came to live in Thanet in 2009, I originally lived in South-East London, where I worked at a solicitor’s firm for 24 years. After we moved I decided I would like a change in my work role, as I’ve always had a passion for animals, and said I would love to work for vets, and my dreams came true. I have now worked for Thanet Veterinary Group since 2009, I initially started at the Birchington branch as Receptionist/Animal Handler which means I help out the vets with all our furry friends when needed during consultation times.

Following this I moved on to Grooming and worked as the Assistant there for a about a year, bathing, drying and pampering the pooches and the occasional cat. In 2014, I was offered the position of Receptionist / Animal Handler at the Westgate branch, I worked there until 2018.

I am now full time back at the Birchington Branch.

I am also responsible for booking our gorgeous Cats into our Luxury 5* cattery, I really do enjoy my job and can never get enough of meeting new furry friends.
