Lorraine Foster Cattery Assistant

I was born and bred in Thanet, and I have been with Thanet Vets since their super-duper, deluxe boarding cattery opened in Birchington in March 2015. I was born to be a cat slave and so being a Cattery assistant is the purrrfect job for me.

But don’t worry if you haven’t got a cat, you can’t get away from me that easily, as I also act as our locum Veterinary Receptionist (so I’m sure our paths will cross at some stage).

On my days off you can sometimes find me giving talks about Lynx, Bears, Otters and all sorts of other British wildlife (past and present) at the Wildwood Trust in Herne, where I am a volunteer with the Education team.

At home I am owned by two cats – the relatively laid-back Freddie and the highly energetic and affectionate Dobby. I also encourage wildlife into the garden by feeding the birds and hedgehogs and anything else that arrives for something to eat!!

My motto in life is ‘A smile costs nothing’
